We love learning and video games
The story behind Packslet and why we build classroom review games to help students learn.
Our Story
Packslet was founded by Payton Burdette, a Senior Software Engineer and the husband of a 5th-grade English and History teacher. Through years of conversations about teaching, classroom challenges, and student engagement, Payton saw how much educators are asked to do and how difficult it can be to find tools that are both engaging for students and genuinely useful for teachers.
As a lifelong gamer and software engineer, Payton saw an opportunity to bring two things he cared about together: gaming and education.
But the goal was never to build another quiz platform with a game wrapped around it. It was to rethink what classroom games could be.
Packslet was built around the idea that games can do more than make review fun. They can make students want to participate, reveal what they actually know, and give teachers meaningful insight into what their students need next.
That's what Packslet is here to do: make learning more engaging for students and more actionable for teachers.

Why Packslet Was Created
We believe students shouldn't have to choose between learning and having fun.
Classroom games have proven that students will eagerly participate when learning feels like an experience. But too often, the focus becomes the game itself. Who can answer fastest, earn the highest score, or click the right answer first.
We wanted to build something different.
Packslet was created around a simple idea: knowledge should drive the game. Students should have fun, compete, and want to keep playing. But their ability to succeed should come from what they actually know.
And for teachers, the experience shouldn't end when the game does. Every question gives teachers another opportunity to understand what their students know, where they're struggling, and what they can do next.
That's the idea behind Packslet: make learning more engaging for students while making the results more useful for teachers.
