Privacy Policy

Overview
Packslet ("we", "us", or "our") provides an online platform for teachers to build question packs and run classroom games and assignments. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from teachers and students, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Teacher Account Information
When you register as a teacher, we collect your email address, password (managed securely via our authentication provider), first and last name, and school name.
Student / Player Information
Students join games and assignments using a nickname and, optionally, an avatar. Nicknames are checked against a profanity filter before they're accepted. We do not require students to create an account, and we do not knowingly collect email addresses or other personal contact information directly from students. Gameplay data such as scores, correct-answer counts, and session activity is stored and tied to the game session or assignment, not to a student's real-world identity.
Payment Information
If you upgrade to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and subscription status to manage your billing — we do not store your card details ourselves.
Usage Information
We collect information about the question packs, assignments, game sessions, and reports you create in order to operate the service.
How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Packslet platform
- To run games, assignments, and generate reports for teachers
- To process payments and manage subscriptions
- To communicate with teachers about their account
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse
Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers who help us operate Packslet, including:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage
- Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions
Children's Privacy
Packslet is designed to be used by students in a classroom setting under a teacher's direction. Students do not create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Any student information entered (such as a nickname) is provided and controlled by the teacher operating the game or assignment. Teachers are responsible for complying with applicable school policies and laws, including FERPA, when using Packslet with students.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. Teachers can permanently delete their account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.
Security
We use industry-standard measures, including row-level security on our database and encrypted connections, to help protect the information we store. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time from the Settings page. If you have questions about your data, you can contact us using the information below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
