Getting Started
Packslet quick start guide for teachers
Create your teacher account, find a ready-to-use question pack, host your first classroom game, and review the results.
Start with a public question pack from Discover to get your first classroom game ready quickly. You will need a teacher account and an internet-connected device for each player. Students can join with a code without creating an account.
1. Create your teacher account
Visit packslet.com and click Get Started For FREE. Choose I'm a teacher, then sign up with Google or enter your details and click Register. Already have an account? Click Login instead.
For more help, see How to sign up for Packslet.
2. Find a question pack for your lesson
Select Discover in the navigation menu. Browse Featured Packs, or enter your topic in Search packs… and press Enter. Use the sliders icon beside the search field to filter by subject or grade level, then run the search again.
Open a pack and review its questions and correct answers for accuracy and suitability for your class. Choose a pack with at least one question, then click Host live game. You can host the public pack directly.
Need help finding the right material? See How to find Packslet question packs. If you already have a pack in your library, select Packs and click its Host button instead.
3. Choose a game mode and open the lobby
Choose an available game mode and click Select Mode. For a first game, you can keep the default settings:
- Game Duration (in minutes): 5 minutes.
- Question Interval (in seconds): 15 seconds between question prompts.
- Points per correct answer: 100 points.
- Allow students to join late: On.
Click Host Game to open the lobby and display the join code.
Note: Some game modes require Packslet Pro. Choose an unlocked mode to get started with a free account.
4. Invite your students and start playing
Ask students to open packslet.com/join on their devices and follow these steps:
- Enter the join code and click Join.
- Enter Your Name, choose an avatar under Choose Your Avatar, and click Play!. Signed-in students use their account name.
- Wait for you to start the game.
Check that your students appear in the lobby, then click Start Game. Students play the game mode and answer questions from your pack. Keep your host tab open; you can use Add more time or End game as needed.
For the full hosting walkthrough, see How to host a game.
Tip: Want to play too? Join in a second tab before starting the game. See How to play a game mode with your students.
5. Review the results
When the game ends, click View Report on the host's results screen. To return later, select Reports in the navigation menu and click the game's row.
Start with Summary for the class results. Then use Question Breakdown to find questions that need review and Student Progress to identify students who may need support. Click a question or student to open more detail.
Incorrect results include questions that needed another try, even when the student eventually found the right answer. See How to read a report for an explanation of accuracy, mastery levels, and retries.
Use those results to choose what to revisit in your next lesson. With Packslet Pro, you can also generate a review worksheet with brand-new practice questions targeting the class's learning gaps. Review any AI-generated questions and answers before using them with students.
